Member Care Training Seminar (Introduction to Pastoral Care - CHC 529)

for Youth With A Mission Staff

Seminar Theme:  Providing Member Care to YWAM Field Staff and Home-based Staff

Member care is something we here at YWAM Nashville have a passion for and that we feel is extremely important in the future of Youth With A Mission ministries.  Member care is crucial for our missionaries, and we have seen the value of visiting with staff in the field and caring for our workers here at our home base. This seminar is designed to better prepare YWAM staff to provide that member care.

Get understanding

This seminar offers a balance of qualified teachers with time allowed for the participants to discuss their own experience and challenges in their work in member care.  This should provide an atmosphere for those who are new in this work to get some really valuable information, resources, and contacts to work in the area of member care in the field and at their home bases.  Those with experience will be encouraged and further trained as well.

Subjects to be covered

  • Basic Member Care Principles and Methods
  • Levels of Member Care
  • Realities of Life in the Field
  • The Shepherd’s Model for Member Care
